Program

3 modules, 83 academic hours, 6 weeks

The program is designed step by step — from understanding components to real flights outdoors. Each module ends with a tangible result.

01

16 academic hrs

1–2 weeks

Theory + simulator

FPV drone anatomy

An introductory module establishing the critical foundation required to prevent operational errors. It delivers a comprehensive understanding of the entire drone system—not by merely listing components, but by mastering how they integrate and function in unison.

What you'll learn

How motors, batteries, flight controllers, video transmission, and radio links work

Drone physics and flight logic

TKA regulations and A1/A3 exam basics

First hands-on time with the "Liftoff" simulator

Tools and equipment

FPV simulator on professional computers

Training controller with FPV goggles

Demo drones for disassembly and analysis

Module outcome: you understand how an FPV drone works, can analyse and choose components, and are ready to build a real drone.

Hands soldering a drone motor on a workbench mat

02

24 academic hrs

2–3 weeks

Hands-on work/soldering

Drone assembly and configuration

You independently build a professional 7" FPV drone from the very first screw — in a soldering classroom with professional equipment and an instructor by your side.

What the work covers

Soldering technique and connecting components according to a diagram

• Flight controller configuration and parameter tuning

Setting up the video transmission and radio link system

First test power-up and readiness for flight

Tools and equipment

A professional soldering classroom with individual workstations

A 7" FPV drone component kit that stays with you

Configuration software (Betaflight and others)

Module outcome: you have a fully working 7" FPV drone that you built yourself, and you know how to maintain, repair, and upgrade it.

3–6 weeks

Practical flights

Practical FPV flights

Three stages leading from the simulator to a real outdoor flight. Sessions run in small groups, with an instructor beside you watching your flight and correcting mistakes in real time.

Three stages, one after another

First stage: "Liftoff" simulator - control logic, reaction, coordination

Second stage: "Whoop"-type drones in the hangar - stable control and an obstacle course

Third stage: flights in outdoor conditions - wind, open space, and changing scenarios

Tools and equipment

"Liftoff" simulators for professional training

"Whoop"-type drones for indoor spaces

The drone you built for outdoor flights

A hangar in Vilnius with an obstacle course

Module outcome: you fly an FPV drone independently in various conditions, receive a DTS certificate, and are ready for the A1/A3 exam.

I completed the full training course and can honestly say — it was incredibly worth it! The whole course is very informative. The theory part explains all the important information in depth and covers every topic related to drones.

I really enjoyed the drone assembly module. Even for me, with no prior knowledge, I managed to learn everything: soldering, building, programming. Every question was answered, sometimes several times over.

The practical flights also made a big impression — plenty of time is dedicated to them. I got lots of useful tips and training on how to improve my flying skills. And even if you break something — you replace the part yourself and keep flying. A big thank you to the instructors for their knowledge, positivity, and goodwill. For them there's no such thing as a "stupid question". Thank you!

About the course

Practical details

Do I need prior experience with drones?

No. The program is built from scratch — starting with the basics. Even participants who have never held a controller successfully complete the whole program — the module sequence leads from the simulator to a real outdoor flight. Experience with commercial or racing drones doesn't replace FPV training — it's a separate discipline.
